Flextronics to Build 2nd Facility in Chennai, India

Flextronics has announced plans to build another plant in India's Chennai, which has been designated as a special economic zone. Flextronics will invest US$70 to US$100 million in the first five years and US$300 to US$500 in the next 10 to 15 years. The new plant, to start operation in June 2006 with expected annual revenues of US$200 million, will aim at the provision of manufacture, distribution, logistics, and repair services while supporting Flextronics' local and global OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
